Littlehampton sits on National Cycle Route 2, the long-distance coastal route that runs along the English south coast from Kent to Devon, making the town a natural stop for cyclists exploring the West Sussex coast.
Through the harbour and along the seafront
Heading east, the route follows the River Arun past the marina and harbour before joining the coast for a stretch with views of Littlehampton's beaches, continuing on towards Rustington, Worthing and Shoreham-by-Sea. Heading west, a dedicated cycle path with a contraflow lane on River Road links Littlehampton towards Climping and on to Bognor Regis, avoiding the need to use Terminus Road.
Around the town
Away from the coastal route, Littlehampton is largely flat, making it an easy town to get around by bike, with the promenade, Mewsbrook Park and Norfolk Gardens all within easy reach of the town centre.
